A new Bead Stew bracelet, designed for your knitting (and wearing) pleasure!

We wanted to do a play on the colors of Twilight -- the deep dark shadows growing, while faint nuances of color are yet glowing.

The thread is Tapestry Braid #12, in black. Pure and simple. Black with that faint sheen that this thread has.

The beads run the gamut. There are some simple silver daggers and some gloriously faceted large crystal AB rivolis. There are smaller grey-blue rivolis and a few stunning fire polish black peacock hearts with one side an ebony and the other a shining midnight blue (supplies are low on the hearts, so you might get a lovely lentil shape instead in a peacock vitral colorway that is equally striking). There are also some matte silver lined amethyst 5/0 triangles with a soft richness, and some matte crystal AB tear drops in two different sizes that we really love. And a great mix of 4mm megetamas in crystals both clear and matte plus grey AB ones that glow with that wonderful look, as if the sun is hidden behind a cloud but still shining through. And of course blacks and black ABs in cubes and in rounds of all sorts of sizes.

You know how I do it -- a sprinkle of this, a pinch of that, and voila!

We're very pleased with the look.

And to finish it all, a really neat magnetic clasp -- so that you barely have to swing this around the wrist and the two ends will snap together -- and very securely I might add. Open it up using your fingernail to break the magnetic seal -- the magnets might very well be stronger than the thread!

[If for any reason you prefer not getting a magnetic clasp just let us know and we will enclose another clasp instead, no problem. Use the "Comments" section as you check out to communicate your preference.]

We are really pleased with the mix of beads we've put together here. This is quite a wonderful look, with glow and shine and subtle color.

The kit has everything you need, except the knitting needles (we recommend size 0). The pattern is the same as for all of the Bead Soup and Bead Stew Bracelets -- you have the option to get it or not via the drop-down menu.

Note that the kit will not automatically include the pattern. We offer three options. I know some of you might already have made other bracelets from us that are made along the same lines, the only real changes being the beads and the colors. If you feel you do not need another pattern, simply choose "No Pattern Needed."

If you would like a printed copy, please make sure the "Pattern" drop-down menu is set to that.

We also can email the pattern to you, though I have to do it manually and usually send it right before I mail the kit (please be patient). Just make sure that drop-down menu is set as you would like before you check out.

This is Twilight, right after the sun has dropped below the horizon and the stars are just beginning to come out. The clouds are still glowing faintly and the world is quiet...

We want to emphasize that a key factor in using these clasps is what we had said earlier about these clasps: Open it up using your fingernail to break the magnetic seal -- the magnets might very well be stronger than the thread!

We consider these to be great little clasps -- and we think you'll like. One other idea on using the magnetic clasps -- courtesy of Catie -- the strength of the magnet can break the thread (as we discussed). If the thread breaks, your bracelet could unravel. So this tip is: Complete the bracelet, and finish off the ends. Then attach a SEPARATE piece of thread, and use THAT to sew the magnetic clasp to your bracelet. That way if the thread breaks, your bracelet is saved, and you can just attach a new thread.

These are beauties.
