This bracelet is such a beauty, fun to make, and very satisfying. I only used a little over half of the seashells and am so pleased with the results. – Jacqueline Edwards
I could hardly wait for this bracelet to come, so I could get started on it. I finished it last night, and, oh my goodness, is it ever awesome! I'm sure it will cause quite the stir at work today, as everyone has been waiting to see the finished product. I love anything that has to do with the beach and shells, so this has to be my favorite bracelet, so far. I have now made several of Ellen's bracelets, and every one of them turns out exceptional! I am addicted to making these, and they make such wonderful gifts. Enjoy!!!! – SHARON HEBERLEIN

Beowulf talks of the Whale's Road as the name for the oceans of the world. Here we present a new Bead Stew Bracelet for your knitting pleasure.
We love the overall look of this bracelet, done with real seashells that have been drilled to work as most lovely beads.
Indeed, there are all sorts of special beads that go into making this most unique piece.
We have found new "butterfly beads" (also called 'farfalle', for the bow-tie pasta). You can see them close-up in the last photo below. Some are copper lined AB and some various colors in a mix. These lend quite a rich look to the bracelet.
With these we add some 2-3mm Heishi shell bead disks to add another intriguing dimension. They are soft pinks and whites and beige.
We also added some 3.4 mm drop beads and some matte metallic bronze 6/0s.
Then there are the shells. Some are larger and look like flowers-of-the-sea --- a rich pinkish violet in a 10mm size. Some are smaller, 4.5mm, called Cebu Beauty shells, in an orchid coloration that matches beautifully.
We threaded these on Kreinik's Tapestry Braid #12 metallic thread in the color they call Rose Hip. This is a perfect color for the beads -- really enhances the look -- but it is unfortunately discontinued by Kreink. We may not be able to get more -- indeed we may not be able to get more of the shells, as our supplier goes in and out of stock on these and makes no promises. So far we have been lucky but I can't predict how much longer this will be. Some of the kits will of necessity have slightly different shell mixes.
When we say "limited edition" on this, that is very true. We will offer these for as long as we can, but we don't really know how supplies will hold up or replenish.
This is essentially the same pattern as all the other Bead Soup and Bead Stew bracelets -- so if you don't need or want another copy of the pattern, there is that option on the drop-down menu. And if you do need it, you can get it. Ah! Basically what I am saying is please make sure the drop-down menu is set to where you want it! :-)
I am very pleased with the look of this. And want you to enjoy.
It is a very special bracelet indeed.
