Mix-and-match ensemble of hat, crew socks and fingerless mittens to knit in two colors of DK weight yarn of your choice and size 6/0 seed beads.
Although the colorwork might appear involved, the slip-stitch color knitting is simple because you only need to handle one yarn color at a time. The beads give an added depth of color and look of complexity to an otherwise simple beaded knitting technique.
Hat is sized for Adult Small-Medium[Large-Extra Large]. Size 5 and 7 US (3.75 and 4.5 mm) needles suggested.
Crew Socks and Fingerless Mittens are sized for Adult Small[Medium,Large]. Size 2 and 5[6,7] US (2.75 and 3.75[4,4.5] mm) needles suggested.
needled yarn would be for the socks: dk weight: 50 to 60 yards (depending on size) of Color A (lighter yarn) and 215 to 285 yards color B (darker).
For the fingerless mittens: between 50 and 60 yards of the Color A (lighter yarn), and between 165 and 235 yards of color B.
And for the Mosaic Hat: 75 to 85 yards of the lighter and 120 yards to 140 yards of the darker.
Whew! And beads are all size 6/0 beads, the crew socks and fingerless mittens requiring 480 (about 40 grams) and the Hat needing 903 to 1032 (depending on the size), about 76 to 86 grams.
