And in a wonderful choice of colors!
Susanna IC has just created for us a most beautiful pattern, a simple piece that is easy enough for a beginner lace knitter and quick enough to be a great last-minute gift.
"An indulgent skein of pure cashmere, a scattering of beautiful beads… Ria is a perfect jewel of a project to showcase a single skein of this amazing yarn. An infinity cowl, Ria can be worn loosely as a scarf or it can be doubled for closer fit and extra warmth during cold days.
"Ria is a great first lace project because the lace pattern consists of very basic stitches and is easily memorized. In addition, this project can be completed in a few hours, which makes it a wonderful little last minute gift."
(Well, I am not sure that her "few hours" is the same as my "few hours" but quick-fast-easy are sometimes very enticing adjectives to have in choosing a project, especially one that looks as lovely as this one!)
We had gotten in some great new colors of Pura Bella's 100% Cashmere and Susanna picked a couple of colors to play with. This is the result! Big smiles over here.
The colorway she used for this one is called Aegean Blue and it can be found on a separate web page in that exact colorway with the exact beads she used as well. Our Search engine will help you find it or click on the link below.
On this web page we offer five other beautiful colorways of 100% cashmere, same yarn as Susanna used, in your choice of colors and with beads to match!
We have (and you can see the colors in the inset photo to the upper right and again below):
*Mallard (a blue-green teal)
*Iris (a rich medium violet)
*Spring Green (a bright yellow-green)
*Mulberry (rich red-violet)
*Rich Violet (actually much closer to blue with just a touch of violet to it)
In this design, Susanna used 228 of our 6/0 beads -- a matching colorway or bead. We will do the same for each of these colors of cashmere.
Just make your choice of yarn via the drop-down menu and we'll put together a stunning kit for you with everything you need except for the needles.
(BTW, the beads are all added via the crochet hook method, using an extremely thin hook. You'll need one that is 0.75mm or thinner (also not included in the kit, but available on our "Needles and Hooks" section).
