We bought some lovely fire polish crystals a while back in some intriguingly subtle variations of color and a variety of shapes and sizes.

The beads are softly muted and remind me of beach glass.

With the discovery of the new Flex-rite wire we were finally able to put these together in a mix that creates a lovely mixture and a most striking bracelet.

We took some of the 9mm shell beads, a few semi-precious stones (6mm rondelle aquamarines), some stunning fire polish crystals (4x7mm in olive celsian and also in green lumi rivoli shape -- mixes and additions depending on stock on hand) and mixed them with these beach glass ones in 10mm, 9mm, 8mm and 2x3mm sizes -- some matte, some clear.

The overall hues are greens and blues and soft browns and beige -- or maybe better put as seaweed and surf and pebbles and sand.

Then we threaded them all in a random fashion on gold plated Flex-rite 49 wire: This is an extremely flexible wire -- it is actually made up of 49 very thin thin thin strands of steel all together into one wire. Flexrite uses state of the art micro wire technology to produce a wire that is strong, soft, and flexible. The difference is amazing -- it is actually closer to knitting with fiber than with wire. It is far far more comfortable to knit with and to wear than any other wire we have found and keeps the stretchability of knit stitches even in the jewelery piece.

Finishing it off is gold plated clamps, and lobster clasp. Perfect. We used the clamps simply because it seemed a safer way to end the bracelet than trusting knots in wire and it gives a very finished look to the whole.

Each kit contains everything you will need to make the bracelet as you see it here (except the needles -- we used size 0) -- a 30 foot spool of the wire in this great golden color, enough of the fire polish and stone mix to make one bracelet, and the pieces for finishing the ends and adding a clasp (as you see in the photo).

Bear in mind that beads go in and out of stock -- some of the beads specifically mentioned here might not be in your kit and other beauties will be.

The bracelet pattern is the same as we did for the earlier Semi-Precious Stone Bracelets, so if you feel you don't need it, choose that option from the drop-down menu.

Now you may be wondering why did we name it California Dreaming.

Well, it is reminiscent of a beach, with its soft colors and shells...on a perfect day.

Each of these bracelets will be rather rare and unique and supplies are limited.

We think you will be very pleased.
