Here's what Catie writes:

These are great fun to make -- using fingering/sock yarn each pin only needs a couple of yards. Catie designed them using "real" colors from nature but there is nothing to say you cannot create your own flowers, ones Mother nature never saw.

And she takes you from cast on through all the steps to end up with a finished pin, all the details spelled out for you. The beads are sewn on after the knitting is done, so you can embellish with as few or as many as you please and control placing them exactly where you like.
