, and this one is new to us as well. Mis-called Lace Merino, it is a definite fingering weight yarn of a marvelous quality. Each skein is a generous 460 yards (plenty for this shawlette) of 100% superwash merino. The hand is absolutely delicious. The colorway we have for this kit is Rose Pink -- mind you it is not the same colorway that Nina made her original in but it has a lot of similarities.
A cool hue in the pink family, this is a rose color, an almost-solid of pink which bends oh-so-slightly towards violet.

For the size 6/0 beads (you will need 340 of them) we can follow Nina's lead and using a golden look. We offer here Toho's Gold Lustered Pink, a magnificent look with gold in a pink surrounding -- hard to describe. It is gorgeous and quite outstanding in all senses of the word. Or we can easily use some striking pink beads -- I am thinking of the Duracoat Galvanized Hot Pink for one though there are others. A simple Silver Lined Crystal bead would be quite striking as well. If you have a preference, let me know -- otherwise let me choose for you.
This will be a real beauty.

The kit does not include knitting needles or any other accessories. The original used size 5 (US) circular needles, go for at least 24" cable. And you'll also need one of the very thin crochet hooks to add the beads.
