I was once stuck in a car, waiting out traffic, with a book and a tiny little book light. I found that the light shining only on one section of one page was amazingly annoying and greatly detracted from my pleasure in reading (and I love to read).
So when we found this two headed book light, we just had to get it to offer on Earth Faire!

Well, I can think of a number of ways this could enhance your knitting life and even other non-knitting aspects of life (is there such a thing?).
For one thing, if you are traveling in a car (except if you are the driver!!!) you might like to be able to check your pattern or book without turning on the overhead light and disturbing the driver.
Or if your partner is asleep and you just have to find out if you need to purl or knit the next stitch.
If you are a movie-theater-knitter you might like this to occasionally spotlight exactly what you need to see without bothering everyone else in the cinema.
And then there is the obvious use -- adding a little light to the pages of the spine-tingling thriller that you can't put down.
