I simply fell in love with the designs of Susanna IC and we have been having a marvelous time putting together yarn and beads for them so we could offer them in kit form.
The pattern here is called Icicles and you can read more about it on its particular web page (use our Search engine). It is a strikingly lovely shawl -- and all it requires is 450 yards of lace or fingering weight yarn. Plus Susanna recommends about 560 size 6/0 beads, to create a most unique piece.

Susanna did the original with a yarn very similar to Shibui's Silk Cloud and Pura Bella's Pura Kid Mohair Silk.
And on this web page here we offer a kit using Pura Bella's Mohair Silk, to give the soft delicate look you see in these photos.
This yarn is a lustrous fingering weight Kid Mohair yarn with a silk center core, a blend of 60% Kid Mohair and 40% Silk. Silky-soft to the touch and a pleasure to work with, it knits up beautifully. Each 25 gram skein has 340 yards. So two skeins are needed for this beauty and will be included in each kit.
The color is simply and beautifully Black. Deep, dark, rich, mysterious. (You can see the yarn, sprinkled with beads, in the small inset photo on the lower right of the main photo here and again below.)
The beads we like for this pattern and yarn combination are Silver Lined Crystal in the off-center tear-drop-ness of 4mm Megatama plus a small quantity of the long 4x7mm megatamas.
Take a look at MRPP's piece as shown on her project page in Ravelry (link is below). The last photo below also shows her shawl, done in Silk Cloud (in the same black colorway) and using these very beads. It is her idea to use the long megatamas along the edgings -- and it looks amazing. She explains how she did it on her project page. So we are going to include enough so you can duplicate that look.
Stunning!
A look of icicles melting in the sun -- or maybe little dew drops on a beautiful lattice.
I love it.

Each kit consists of two skeins of yarn, the pattern, and enough beads to complete the shawl.
Truly beautiful
