Ah! Beautiful!
A new pattern from Laura of Fiber Dreams plus our new find, the marvelously delicious Canopy Fingering yarn from The Fibre Company.
The combination is stunning.
The colorway we are offering here is not the one that Laura used for her original but a rich and lovely one indeed -- read on for more data.

Here is how Laura describes the lovely Ione:
Translated from the Greek, Ione (pronounced eye-Oh-nee) means “violet flower.” Ione was one of Nereus and Doris’ fifty daughters, a sea nymph, who with her sisters was helpful to sailors fighting perilous storms, most often in the Aegean Sea.
The scarf is worked sideways along the long edge starting with the lace pattern, and ending with garter stitch short rows that shape it into a pleasing crescent. Either size can be worn as a scarf or shoulder shawl.
All that it needs is a fingering weight yarn: 230 [300] yards to make a scarf with a finished size of 63 x 7.75 inches [160x 19.7 cm] for the small ; 73.5 x 8.5 inches [186.7 x 21.6 cm] for the large.
The original yarn used for the photos as you see them here was Twist, Yarns of Intrigue Bamboo Sock, a 50% superwash merino, 25% bamboo, 25% nylon. What we offer instead is two skeins of Canopy Fingering, a blend of 50% baby alpaca, 30% merino wool + 20% viscose from bamboo. Each skein has 200 yards (so the kit will have 400 yards total).
And the feel of this yarn! Oooo la la! It is truly delicious indeed.
The colorway we have on this web page for this kit is called Macaw, a lovely blue teal that might be at home on a tropical parrot but I see it more as a shawl around your shoulders.
Just add needles and you will be set! The kit has the pattern and more yarn than you'll need.
Big smiles...
