A lovely yarn from Louet, this is KidLin, a blend of 49% linen, 35% kid mohair and 16% nylon. There are 250 yards per 50 gram skein and it works up as a lace weight yarn.
As the mohair and the linen take the dyes slightly differently there is a subtle striation -- stronger in some colorways than others -- that simply is beautiful. Reminds me of Rapunzel's long hair.
Nice nice nice nice!
And with it, we offer a striking scarf pattern, the Myra was designed by Trudy Van Stralen of Louet and requires only one skein of this stunning yarn. The scarf is joined into a circle at finishing and can be worn long or doubled. It feels marvelous and looks amazing.
Great as a simple gift or for yourself, this is a great project for a quick knit. It is intended for advanced beginners or intermediate knitters but will keep even advanced knitters interested -- a great break from more complex designs.
The colorway that the scarf is shown in is called Mexican Orange. That is unfortunately backordered, but we do have some other really lovely hues that will look wonderful done in this pattern.
What we have on this web page is a choice of neutral colors (these do not have much of the color striation variations mentioned above). Here they are as shown below:
• Cream (just what it sounds like)
• Allspice (a lovely rich brown)
• Bryce Canyon (very similar -- just slightly deeper in hue with a bit more of a color contrast between the two strands)
• Melon Green (not green at all, interestingly -- this is more the color of the outside of the melon, a soft taupe)
Choose your colorway from the drop-down menu. Any of these will be a pleasure to work with. And should you decide you have another plan for the yarn, we are including a drop-down menu that allows you to get the yarn without the pattern. Just make sure both are set as you would like before you check out.
