Wow! New edition -- now with five (!!!) hours of instruction on two DVDs!
I wanted to add a basic knitting book to the site and this one is a favorite.
Written by Vicki Square, this is a wonderfully sized (7" x 5 1/2") book -- great to fit into your knitting bag or knapsack or whatever for an easy reference. The last page even has a template to measuring your knitting needles and your gauge!
If you have ever been stuck mid-project, trying to remember how to make a decent buttonhole, or searching your memory for a better increase, this is a great book to have at your fingertips. There are many many ways to cast one, shape, seam, bind off, increase, decrease, hem, etc. -- even sections on ways to correct mistakes.
This is one of my personal if-I-were-marooned-on-a-desert-island books....
And to quote the back of the book: You have everything you need in this package except the yarn!
