We really like these lovely lace weight yarns from the SWTC and decided to bring in some more of their possible colors. This yarn is quite unique in that this one is 100% Bamboo.
Called Xie, we had carried it a few years ago and had kind of forgotten about how nice it was. Then recently Cindersall (the amazing knitter who runs our Ravelry forum) commented on how much she loved it. She was telling me how well the Xie knit up and kept its shape. Her good friend who goes by the moniker Seaglass on Ravelry did one also in Xie, in a silvery grey -- that is the one you see in the third photo on this page.
(By the way, we have other really lovely colors of Xie on other web pages -- put "Xie" in our search engine and you'll find them)
This Xie bamboo yarn is packaged in a small cone, about four inches tall. Each has 920 yards in one continuous strand (on a cone) to its 100 grams.
This weight is 10/2 for those who understand those numbers, and for the rest of us, just think "regular" lace weight.
What we have on this page is simply being called Pink -- and that is what it is.
Pink is the one that Melissa used for one of her Silver Bells & Cockle Shells originals. Quite lovely indeed. Can you smell the flowers in the soft summer breeze?
These should be wonderful to work with -- with such great yardage for a really good price, perfect for anyone who chooses not to work with animal fibers or just wants to try something different.
