Please Note: at this time, you may still place an order for the KAL kit here, but be aware that it might not get to you before the starting date. Signups will remain open until the start day of March 16.

The Unique Sheep and Janine LaCras are setting up yet another brand-new Mystery KAL (Knit ALong), inspired by The Little Prince, the classic French novella by Antoine de Saint-Exupery.
The KAL will be starting on March 16th and orders accepted up until March 1st, but you are welcome to select your yarn and colorway at any point up until then. We then tell Kelly and Laura, the dyers extraordinaire, and they will paint your yarn to your specifications and we'll send it on to you.
The pattern will be emailed to you in pieces. On the first day you'll receive the instructions for the first part of the pattern. In the following weeks you'll receive the rest of the pattern, bit by bit. But you won't see a finished picture of the shawl until the very end!
Any and all of the colorways that The Unique Sheep dye are available through us plus any and all of the exclusive colorways that we've worked with Kelly and Laura to set up for Earth Faire.
You can get any colorway that you see on their site as well as any of these through us. (The drop-down menu has an "Other" option whereby you can then tell us the colorway you'd like by writing us a note in the Comments section as you check out if you would like one not listed.)
You can choose a regular colorway or one of our Gradiance colorways. We are going to assume you want the Gradiance set of colors unless you tell us differently via the "Comments" section as you check out. Most of these look great as gradiances. A few also look good as single skein variegateds. Email me if you have a question on this.

There are quite a few beads in this shawl, so many in fact that we found it necessary to limit the colors we will be offering with this kit. You can choose Silver, Gold or Clear (crystal) to go with your yarn and your kit will contain three full containers of 6/0s beads. If you choose Silver then your beads might be Silver Lined Crystal or Silver Lined Crystal AB. If you choose Gold the beads enclosed might be Silver Lined Gold, Silver Lined Light Gold, Silver Lined Dark Gold, Silver Lined Gold AB or even Silver Lined Dark Gold AB. And should you choose Crystal the beads would be either Crystal or Crystal AB.
The pictures below here to show the colors of our exclusive colorways -- some were photographed in other yarns and some show a gradiance spread out over more skeins. The idea is to depict the colorways for your convenience. As more are developed they will be added:
1. Dragon Fire
2. Dragons' Dawn
3. Twilight
4. Mardi Gras
5. Pixie Dust
6. Dragon Scales
7. Big Sur Twilight
8. Van Gogh's Sunflowers
9. Impressionist Sunrise
10. Casablanca Sunrise
11. Path to the Castle
12. Neptune's Garden
13. Old Rock Wall
14. Snow Glint
15. Island Breeze
16. Rock Candy Mountain
17. Changing Skies
18. Dark Side of the Moon

You can see most of these also by following the link below -- our "Signature Colors" that Kelly and Laura posted on Flickr.
We do have all of them in our photos here and who/what/where is described below. Just email for more data if you would like or larger pictures.
The first photo to the right shows Mardi Gras in the 11:00 position (if you think of the square as a watch face), Dragon's Dawn at 1:00, Dragon Scales at 4 PM as a gradiance and again at 6PM as a single-skein-variegated, and Dragon Fire at 8:00 as a single-skein and at 10:00 as a gradiance.
The second photo has Twilight (best as a gradiance) at 6:00, Pixie Dust (only dyed as a gradiance) at 8:00, Van Gogh's Sunflowers (gradiance again) around 3:30, Rock Candy Mountain (best as a single-skein variegated) at 10:30, Changing Skies (shown as a single skein but can be dyed as a gradiance as well) at 12:00, and Fox & Geese (only dyed as a single-skein variegated colorway) at 2:00.
The next photo has Old Rock Wall (gradiance) at 6:00, Aurora Borealis as a single-skein and as a gradiance at 7:00 and at 8:00, Deep Forest (as a gradiance but it can be dyed as a single also) at 5:00, Dark Side of the Moon (dyed as a single) at 10:00, Denim Friendly dyed as a gradiance at 3:00, Mermaid's Bouquet (gradiance only) at 1:00, and Island Breeze at noon.
The fourth photo shows our new colorway, Chocolate Roses, a gradiance only. You can find more of a description on it on a separate web page -- use our Search engine to find.
The next-to-last photo has Big Sur Twilight gradiance at 6:00, Impressionist Sunrise at 8:00, Casablanca Sunrise (gradiance) at 4:30, Snow Glint as a single-skein at 2:00 and as a gradiance at 1:00, Path to the Castle (gradiance only) at 9:00, and Neptune's Garden at 12:00 (that is the gradiance version; a single-skein version is called Dark Teal Blend).
The very last picture on the page shows Windy Sea, a stunning new gradiance colorway.
And if you'd like any more data, just email!
