This is one of a new yarn from SWTC, called Little Star, made up of 75% Superwash Wool/25% Nylon with Lurex. The Lurex adds a wonderful sparkle to fibers -- in fact this is the yarn which is used in the Sparkle Scarflette, featured in June's Knit 'n Style magazine though in a different colorway.
(The kit for this can be found elsewhere on our website; use the Search engine -- marvelous design!
We liked the yarn so much that we decided to go for more of the colorways, and so far we haven't found one that doesn't appeal.
This one is called Libra and is a beautiful mix of reds with rose and orange and maybe a suggestion of violet as well.
Yum! what a mix!
Little Star is a wonderful yarn for scarves or anything which lends itself to fingering weight yarn. It feels lovely even for next-too-the-skin wear and is quite a unique look.
There are approximately 50g/200m per skein. And it is even machine washable.
And! We now can offer the pattern for the Twinkle Scarflette all by itself! We had been told earlier that it was exclusive to the Knit 'n Style magazine for a set amount of time and so we brought the magazine in so that we could offer it to those who needed a copy of the pattern. But now anyone who would like the yarn and beads as we describe in the kit can get a copy of the pattern as well. If you would like a copy, all you need do is purchase one skein of Little Star, any colorway, and ask us as you check out [using the "Comments" section] to include one in your order. Bear in mind you will also need 6/0 beads and a thin crochet hook to add them with.)
The last photo here shows this great little scarflette, albeit in other colorways.
Yum!
We think this could be great fun!
