Schaefer Yarn periodically retires some of their lovely colorways.
This one was named after Eleanor Roosevelt and is no longer one that they dye. But Cheryl Schaefer emailed me that they had just found some dyed in Nichole, and I was delighted to take them. Once these are gone I don't know if they will be repeated.
Let me try to describe the colorway. This is a cool mix that ranges from a royal purple, thorugh a indigo and navy into evergreen and eventually circles around into teal and a brighter turquoise. The whole is stunning -- rich and deep.
Nichole as a yarn is a light sport weight (or is it a heavy fingering weight?), made up of 80% superwash extrafine merino wool and 20% nylon. Each skein has a substantial 405 yards to its 5 ounces.
It feels delicious.
This a a wonderful yarn for hats, mittens, scarves or socks. We have quite a few really interesting patterns currently in stock which were designed specifically for Nichole. Use our Search feature and go exploring.
The only limit is your imagination -- so really there is no limit at all!
