Here is another lovely design by Nim Teasdale.

I quote her here: Nightfall is the third in the Light Cycle Collection, inspired by the changing moods of light over a 24 hour cycle, and designed with gradient yarns in mind. All 4 designs play with the concept of light as both a wave and a particle, in the contrasting textures of each shawl.

Nightfall is a dynamic design with a highly adaptable format - the main lace can be repeated indefinitely, to create a shawl of any size.

The edging, a very simple, short repeat, can be extended to any size - or until you run out of yarn.

Optional stockinette or garter section to begin.

Optional beading.

Written and charted, with pattern rows worked on the right side only.

Adaptable to anything from lace to dk weight.

Sounds pretty darn wonderful, don't you agree?

Nightfall requires anywhere between 100 and 1000 yards, and Nim's original only used 300m.
