This yarn is just amazing.
I wish I had a way to send you some over the internet -- the feel is absolutely delicious and the sheen is of a brightness that needs to be seen to be believed. With 51% silk/ 49% bamboo and both fibers tending towards shininess, can you just imagine?
The yarn was developed by Lorna's Laces as an alternative to wool blends for those who are allergic. It is called Pearl and is truly a thing of beauty. We have some in kit form -- just got them in another colorway (called Aslan) packaged in a wonderful oyster shell container with free patterns for a scarf or a cowl.
And those who tried it loved it and asked if we could get more in, just as the yarn. Well, it is hard to decide amongst all the gorgeous colorways that Lorna's Laces offers but we settled on this one to try out.
Called Hermosa, it is an amazingly vibrant mix of silver and purples and blues.
It positively glows!
There is a generous 220 yards to its .35 ounce skein , with a probably gauge of about 5 stitches to the inch on US size 7 needles. Handwash in cool water and dry flat.
Treat yourself to a bit of luxury. We think you will also fall in love.
