Wow.

Pendant Purls Shawl is a beautiful piece by Marsha White. I quote her here:

This crescent-shaped shawl features a lace-edged purl triangle pattern from the Japanese book “1000 Knitting Patterns Book”.

As the border is worked, the purl triangles decrease in size to gently curve the shawl. Each purl triangle dangles like a “pendant” from the previous triangle.

Short rows patterned in mock cable lace shape the shawl into a crescent which sits elegantly on the shoulders.

Knit in DK weight, the shawl drapes in lacy swirls (that is the piece shown as knit in green teal). Knit in fingering weight, the shawl can be decoratively joined in the center (shown as knit in blue-violet).

Fingering – bottom width = 54”; center depth = 10.5”

DK – bottom width = 71”; center depth = 13.5”

Yarn needed:

Fingering: 370 yds (338 m)

DK: 530 yds (484 m)

NOTE: Provenance Knit patterns use charts. Recommended for Intermediate knitters.

Truly a wonderful knit -- delightful to make and then gorgeous to wear.
