Louisa Harding  just came out with some stunning colorways in the new Pittura yarns.   Pittura is a 75% Wool, 25% Viscose with approximately 437 yards per 100g skein.

It feels lovely. What makes it extra special is the colorways -- they have been designed around the paintings of some very amazing artists.  And the mix of colors are truly outstanding.

Louisa also has put together some really lovely patterns that require only one skein to create.  We have brought in hard copy (printed) copies of three beauties and can offer them while supplies last.

We are offering these patterns separately on this web page.

  • Dali is a tribute to  Salvador Dali, a most unusual artist who expanded the boundaries of art as it was defined at the time.  This colorway is a brilliant mix of rose and pink with cream, black and violet.
  • Klimt is a marvelous mix of warm tones, that shines with the golden-ness that Gustav Klimt is famous for.  The colorway combines golds and oranges with some lighter greens and lilacs -- really a great rendition of the colors in his most well-known paintings. (Sorry, sold out)
  • Matisse is a paean to the works of Henri Matisse with his amazingly playful images and brilliant colors.  The main hues I see here are in the rose family with some greens as well, plus a smigen of gold and other in-between tones.
  • Monet sings of the works of Claude Monet. One of the early Impressionists, his painting broke new ground in the depiction of landscapes, playing with the changes of color and light.  This colorway has green as its predominant hue, green of all sorts of tones and shades, with some pink and lilac and blue interspersed.

Any one of these is awesome.  No reservations here...

If you are interested in the single skein patterns by Louisa, take a look here.   Any of these can be knit in any one of these colorways -- it is really your choice.
