A neat collection of four patterns made with Universal's Poems Yarn.
The Rising Suns Shawl is shown first below and is made with individual hexagons which are stitched together at the end. Great for a carry-along project, and also easy to modify to suit your own tastes. The full shawl is seen here but think also of using this technique for a scarf perhaps.
The second photo below shows the Southwest Sky Afghan. It is done in separate rectangular sections and then combined at the end. Lovely!
The third photo shows a crocheted shawl, called Millefiori. It is made again with hexagons that are joined at the end, to give a very different look.
The last photo shows the Northern Lights Scarf, using only two skeins each of two colors of Poems. The technique used here is intarsia and it makes a real beauty, no?
Interesting how each pattern uses a very different technique -- a wonderful way to learn as well as make gorgeous pieces. Email me if you would like more details on any of these. All four are included in this one pattern booklet.
