We are absolutely in love with Schaefer's new Undulating Wave Scarf, now available in a kit to be done in Heather, a 55% merino superwash, 30% silk, 15% nylon combination with a full 400 yards to each 4 ounce skein. It feels fantastic -- great hand -- and looks great.
This colorway is Jane Addams -- a rich burgundy/ fuschia/ olive/ pine. The photo shows the scarf done in Heather but in a different colorway (Gertrude Ederle) -- the small inset photo to the lower right shows the colorway we are offering here, Jane Addams.
We really like it.
There are so many beads that we like with this one-- some with a green theme, some with a rosiness, and also the neutral Crystal AB ones which pick up other colors and enhance so much. For a darker contrast I love the Garnet Lined Ruby ABs and for a rosy complement the Hot Pink Lined Crystal AB , and we just got in some Sparkling Antique Rose Lined Crystal that I think looks lovely with this yarn.
Unless you feel strongly one way or the other, let us choose for you.
The kit will include at least 100 grams of the beads, which will give some extra to relax with, the pattern, and the yarn. (The needles are not part of the kit.) This will give you a finished scarf of approximately 6" wide x 49" long. .
No reservations on this one -- a glorious design, for you or as a gift. A true pleasure, be it in the creating, the wearing or the giving.
Everything except the knitting needles themselves are part of the kit so you can make this lovely creation.
