A lovely yet simple design by Ysolda that is really lovely.
Ishbel is a simple shawl pattern that can be worked in two sizes and two different yarn weights. The smaller is done in fingering weight yarn and makes a cozy but pretty scarf. The larger done with lace weight yarn, can be worn as a scarf or draped elegantly around the shoulders.
Solid stockinette forms the center and lends simplicity to the design and extra warmth when knitted int he thicker yarn.
The suggested gauge is 20sts and 30 rows = 4" / 10cm in stockinette, done with size 6 (US)/ 4mm 24"/60cm circular needle.
Finished Measurements S[L], approx 48.5[66]" / 123[168]cm wide and 14.5[19.5]" / 37[49.5]cm long at centre.
Materials Used Approx 330 yds / 300m [610 yds / 555m] lace or fingering / 4ply weight yarn.
