Announcing a new Mystery Lace Shawl KAL, sponsored by the amazing dyers of The Unique Sheep (aka TUS) and designed by Janine Le Cras .
This will be starting mid-July but you can order your yarn (and optional beads if you so choose) now, to be sure that it will get to you by the starting date. Signups will remain open until the start day of July 13 but please order by June 13 to ensure that we can get your yarn dyed and shipped before the KAL begins!
The Spirit of Guernsey is a mystery lace knitting club. So far, Janine le Cras has designed mystery shawl KAL patterns inspired by The Secret Garden, The Enchanted Wood, Moonfleet, Through the Looking Glass, The Little Mermaid, The Phoenix and the Carpet The Jungle Book, and The Little Prince. This KAL will be a little different. We are taking a break from children's literature for the summer and this KAL will be devoted to the history and natural beauty of the Guernsey Isles, Janine's home.

You can choose a regular colorway or one of the fantastic Gradiance colorways.
The pattern will be emailed to you in pieces. On the first day you'll receive the instructions for the first part of the pattern. In the following weeks you'll receive the rest of the pattern, bit by bit. But you won't see a finished picture of the shawl until the very end!
Announcements and conversation will take place on the Ravelry group board run by TUS so please join us there! The designer (Janine le Cras) and the dyers (Kelly Eells and Laura Lough) will be active on the Ravelry board as well as on Plurk to answer questions about the pattern and cheer you on!

Important: We are going to assume you want a Gradiance colorway unless you tell us differently!
The price varies depending on your yarn preference.
The "base" price I put up here is the cost for a kit in Eos, complete with clues (but without beads). The various yarns that you find in the drop-down menu under the "Yarn" label have next to them a plus or a minus sign and the price difference. Please make sure to select the correct option for the yarn of your choice.
There is also an option to add some beads to the whole -- there not too many this time, but enough to add a wonderful additional embellishment to the shawl. That is under the label "Kit".
Go ahead and choose your yarn base and choose your colorway and decide yes or no to beads Then using the drop-down menus create your order and send it on to us. We'll make sure that the yarn of your choice is dyed in the colorway of your choice and sent to you before the starting date of this KAL.
Note that if you would like a colorway that is not listed, choose "other" and tell us via the "Comments" Section as you check out.
And if you'd like to make a second shawl, please email me to order 4oz of any of the lace weight yarns either as a Gradiance Set or a Single Skein.
