We received the latest edition of the magazine Knit 'n Style last week -- that is the June 2011, Issue 173 -- and there were so many things I really liked.
But best of all was on page 54, the "scarflette" called Twinkle, made with a single skein of SWTC's Little Star and size 6/0 beads.
I thought it was marvelous! A great yarn, a lovely design, easy to make and a quick light-weight project for those between-times!
So I contacted the Knit 'n Style people and called Joan at SWTC and here is the result of it all!
****
We offer the yarn in the exact color shown in the original pattern --- Delphinus -- a great mix of blues and purples that form long color repeats and work so perfectly in this pattern. This yarn is new from SWTC, called Little Star, and is 75% Superwash Wool/25% Nylon with Lurex. There are approximately 50g/200m per skein.
The kit includes 150 size 6/0 beads in Silver Lined Crystal to stand out and sparkle. With pattern and yarn.
(Note that if you would prefer beads that blend with the colors more, just note that as you check out using the "Comments" section -- it is no trouble at all). The beads are added to the knitting via the crochet hook method so you will need one of the very fine steel hooks.
We think this is a great little project and we are delighted to be able to present it!
[Oh! And as a great P.S. -- we have the same design, and appropriate beads as well, offered with other colorways of yarn for those who would prefer it on other web pages. Use the Search engine and check them out. Plus other Little Star colors all by themselves that can be made into this or into anything else that appeals. Wonderful for next-to-skin projects. And fun!]
