Twizzle has long been a marvelous mainstay of Mountain Colors yarn selection. It is a fun wool yarn plied with a strand of silk that creates a heathered effect.

Recently they went for that great look in a fingering weight yarn: Twizzlefoot, 53% superwash merino, 17% domestic wool, 17% silk, 13% nylon.

Each skein has 450 yards (411 meters) to its 100 grams (3.53 ounces).

Now for Spring, the fine dyers of Mountain Colors come out with new colorways and when we were offered a mixed bag of the new colors and could get them in Twizzlefoot -- well, how in the world could I say no?

So be aware that we only have one or two skeins in each of these colorways -- if one sings to you, you might want to nab it!  :-)

Boulder has a lot of neutral to it, with some highlights of colors.  It mixes black and charcoal and teal and sea foam. (Sorry, sold out)

Rodeo is a bright carnival of colors.  It see green and gold and amber and blue and rose and red and violet and purple and turquoise -- and I might have missed a few.

Turtle Lake is a cool mix of teal and purple and green with some yellow green to brighten the whole with sunshine.

Periwinkle is mostly variations on purples, both red-violets and blue-violets though I also see some teal and some gray.

Seeley is another bright one, this time with variations on orange from rust into brilliant fiery sunset tones.  And there are cool blues and violets and fuchsia as well.  Definitely a sunset.

Joliet is cool tones, rich and deep -- rose and violet and indigo and teal are the main ones I see.
