A wonderful piece, perfect for this time of year! By Arella Seaton , All Webbed Up is a most fun cowl --- fun to knit, fun to wear.
Please be sure to get your pattern directly from Arella on her Ravelry page here. What we offer is some yarn sets that will come together beautifully for this.
Here is how Arella describes this:
The All Webbed Up Cowl features the original bold graphics inspired by crosses, spiders and webs.
Discover the darker side of your soul, wrapped in spider webs.
The cowl is knitted from bottom up in mosaic technique, casting on three stitches and increasing at the beginning and end of each right side row.
On the right-side of the cowl, the main colour appears in stockinette stitch, whereas the contrasting colour appears in garter stitch. After completing the flap, stitches are cast on for the back of the neck and joined for knitting in the round.
Yarn and Colorways
The designer used heavy fingering weight yarn or light DK weight for her pieces and says that the Main Color can be solid, speckled or slightly variegated, as long
there is good contrast with the Contrasting Color.
We have put together kits that are made up of light dk weight yarns. Your kit will consist of two balls + one skein as described here:
1. The first yarn we have is from Schoppel, called Bio Merinos. Made up of 95% Organic Patagonian Merino Wool + 5% Linen, there are 165 yards per 50 gram ball. The colorway is called Weiss-Natur and is a lovely subtle tonal variegation of whites, creams and pale gray.
2. From Urth, this is Monokrom DK, a hand-dyed 100% Extrafine Superwash Merino with eqch skein having 300 Yards / 275 Meters. The yarn is dyed in what they call monochromatic color transitions. This colorway is #6063 and is a play on charcoal and almost-black with some paler gray as well.
Your kit will have two balls of Bio Merinos and one skein of Monokrom DK.
