So what are Amigurumis, you may ask?
According to Wikipedia:
Amigurumi (編みぐるみ, literally means "crocheted or knitted stuffed toy") is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small, stuffed yarn creatures. The word is a portmanteau of the Japanese words ami, meaning "crocheted or knitted", and nuigurumi, meaning "stuffed doll".
I did a bit of hunting. Here are some patterns from Etsy. And here are some on Ravelry.
And just to winnow it down a bit, these are ones I really like and chose to "favorite" on Ravelry.
And here are some books (via Amazon though certainly you can use your favorite bookseller) that I thought very enticing indeed.
