The latest offering from ArtYarns Inspiration Club.
Here is how Iris describes it:
This dark and mysterious color is dyed with some gorgeous blues, browns, and a pop of yellow and orange. It is vibrant yet very sophisticated.
It is dyed in what is called an ombre style and has long color runs which create a most intriguing effect.
The colors are rich and vibrant -- really striking.
We brought in two different yarns in this colorway.
Merino Cloud is a luxurious blend of Extra Fine Merino and Italian Cashmere (80/20 blend) with 437 yards per skein. It can knit as a fine fingering weight or even a sport weight, depending on the needle size.
One skein is all that is needed for the Cloud Cover Shawl you see here. This was designed by Iris Schreier.
It is free with purchase of one skein of Merino Cloud.
For the Cloud Cover Shawl, you should be able to simply download it from your Account page on our website. Go to "My Account", find "My Orders" and you will see the link. if you have any trouble with this, let me know.
We also brought in another yarn from ArtYarns, a brand new lustrous luxury worsted weight called Silk Twist. It is an 80/20 blend of Merino and Silk, spun with a twist to ensure no pilling. The silk gives it a great shine and it has a wonderful feel to it. There are 220 yards/ 100g skein.
The Wavy Garden Cowl and Hat Pattern uses two skeins of Silky Twist -- you see it on this page.
These are knit using one skein in this Inspiration Colorway Cloud Cover and one known simply as #2326, which is a rich royal blue.
Iris writes: I designed this as a spinoff to the popular Wavy Garden Revisited Shawl. It is really unusual and fun to knit, and there are photos throughout the pattern to describe the construction. The hat can be worn several different ways. The cowl is snuggly and fun. Both pieces can be knitted out of just 2 sks of SIlky Twist 100 gram skeins in coordinating colors.
This pattern is free with purchase as well. For this one, once we get the order for these two Silky Twist yarns (sold as a pair; see the drop-down menu above), I will email it to you. Please be patient as it is not automatic; I usually send it as I pack up the yarns to ship out.
