We are already at the next installment of the Artyarns Merino Cloud Inspiration Club!
Every two months we have been receiving a limited number of specially dyed Merino Cloud yarn from ArtYarns. The colors are limited edition and exclusive.
Each installment is a surprise, but reflects to some degree the feeling of the season.
Plus! Each month we can also offer you one or more free patterns! Read on for more details.....
The yarn is Merino Cloud, a luxurious blend of Extra Fine Merino (80%) and Italian Cashmere (20%) with 437 yards per skein. It knits in a range from a fine fingering through to a sport weight depending on needle size. Perfect for scarves, shawls, and garments of all types.
This month's offering is a wonderful coolness, a reflection of Under The Sea. The variegation includes teals and aquas, blues, browns and creams.
Patterns: if you are interested in any of these patterns, free with purchase, let me know and I will email them to you.
Bear in mind that many of these call for more than just the one skein of Merino Cloud. The first one has been designed so that all you need is one skein of this Merino Cloud. The others all require some extra yarns though if you'd like the patterns just say the word.
And though we didn't bring in the Silk Beads & Sequins yarn, we do offer beads that you can add (details below).
1. Under the Sea Shawl by Iris Schreier can be knit using just 1 skein of Merino Cloud in the Under the Sea colorway.. It is knitted bottom to top starting out with the edging that resembles scalloped shells. As always, a skein of Beaded Silk and Sequins in this shawl is optional.
2. Under the Sea Wrap by Lucinda Iglesias of Mont Tricot (uses 1 skein of Merino Cloud and Beaded Silk and Sequins in Under the Sea colorway, and 1 skein of Merino Cloud in 363 contrast).
3. Under the Sea Child Hooded Pullover by Jennifer Wenger-Turchen of Jennifer Knits, uses 1-2 skeins of Merino Cloud and 1 skein of Beaded Silk and Sequins in Under the Sea colorway, and 1 skein of Merino Cloud in 363 contrast) for various sizes.
4. Under the Sea Capelet by Danielle Bowen of Knitique is knit with1 skein of Merino Cloud and 1 skein of Beaded Silk and Sequins in Under the Sea colorway, and 1 skein of Merino Cloud in 363 contrast, with an optional cowl collar.
If you would like beads specially selected to go nicely with your Under The Sea Merino Cloud, there is that option as a drop-down menu labeled "Kits." You can get the yarn only or the yarn plus 35g of size 6/0 beads (that is about 400 to 420 beads).
If you have a preference on the color for your beads, tell me. Otherwise I will choose for you.
