I have long admired the Autumn in Istanbul design by Kugu Alper and have been thinking about colorways that combine well for this beauty.

Please be sure to get your pattern directly from the designer on this Ravelry page here. What we have put together are simply the yarns that make up this kit.

The Design
Here is what Kugu writes:
AUTUMN IN ISTANBUL is an asymmetrical trapezoid-shaped kite shawl which combines different knitting techniques. From short row waves, to mosaic colorwork and lace, you will never get bored knitting this shawl.
Yarn and Colorways
To make a shawl of roughly 88" x 22", the designer used one skein each of Uneek Fingering, Monokrom Fingering and Harvest Fingering.
Each skein is 100% superwash extrafine merino with 435 yards/ 100g.
The colorways and yarns we have for each kit are what you see in the inset photos on the top picture on this page and again below that. They are not exact matches for what the designer used for her original.

Kit A (one skein each):
1. Uneek Fingering yarn from Urth is a hand-dyed self-striping extrafine merino with 435 yards/ 100g. This one is #3028, a beautiful blend of neutrals including gray, charcoal, brown, gold, navy, and ecru.
2. Malabrigo Sock Yarn with 440 yards/ 100g of 100% superwash merino in the simple colorway Black.
3. From Sweet Georgia, this is their Tough Love Sock with 80% superwash merino + 20% nylon and having 425 yards/ 100g. The colorway is Snowfall, a light gray that has a lovely luminescence.
Kit B (one skein each):
1. Uneek Fingering in colorway #3031, a beautiful melody of mostly blues from turquoise to royal, along with some gray and black.
2. Malabrigo Mechita, 100% superwash merino with 420 yards 9384m) / 100g. The colorway is Teal Feather, an almost-solid with subtle variations of rich teal.
3. Mechita again in an unual colorway called Vaa. At first glance the yarn looks black but it is overdyed with rich deep blues and gereens as well.
