Back in stock! The leaves in these newer kits are a mix of the slightly larger 14x9mm ones. Beautiful!
This is the first bracelet in our new Season Series. A song to Fall...
Autumn is a very special season.
From the welcome first breath of cool breezes that temper summer's heat to the glorious colors of mid- to late-autumn, with reds and golds and greens simply crying out in beauty.
This bracelet is my tribute to Autumn, my very favorite season.
It all started with a lovely tiny pine cone, electroplated in rich copper tones. Then I put together 8/0 beads in varying topaz hues with daggers and leaves to mimic the season's colors.
I found three threads I really liked with all the beads -- you can see them in the last photo.
The one that really sang to me is the red-copper one and so that is what I used. You can decide on greater contrast of gold thread or perhaps deep bronze (brown), as seen in the last photo on this page --- simply set the drop-down menu labeled "Choose" to your choice.
The beads, daggers and leaves were threaded on in a particular order and knit. Once it reached the right size, I added antique copper clamps at each end to frame the whole -- I like the finished look.
And added a wonderful hook-and-eye clasp also in antique copper, using jump rings. The clamps we used are totally optional. The bracelet also looks superb with the clasp simply threaded on.
(The clasp in your kit will be different than the one you see here though it will be a deep copper color. And if you choose the gold or the brown thread, we can change the clasp and clamp colors as well, the better to match your kit.)
And the pine cone? Remember the pine cone I mentioned that started the whole project?
The pine cone looks great as an addition wherever you prefer.
The top photo on this page and the next-to-last one as well show it mid-bracelet, amidst the leaves and beads. I love it.
I also tried it as a look next to the clasp --- the other photos on this page --- and also love the look.
Where you put yours is totally up to you.
A wonderful and very special addition.
Note that the kit will not automatically include the pattern.
We offer three options. I know some knitters have made so many of our knitted bracelets that they might feel they do not need another pattern. That's fine --- simply choose "No Pattern Needed."
Alternatively, if you would like a printed copy, please make sure the "Pattern" drop-down menu is set to that.
We also can email the pattern to you via email, though I have to do it manually and usually send it right before I mail the kit (please be patient). Just make sure that drop-down menu is set as you would like before you check out.
I am really delighted with this bracelet, and think you will be too.
