Another beauty from Jennifer of Lavishcraft, Azure Dragon is one of her Dragon Series and you know how I feel about dragons! :-)
Please note you should get the pattern directly from her through her Ravelry Page here.
Jennifer writes that this is worked inside out, bottom to top. It has a scale-like dimensional texture, with equally interesting reverse.
Chart reading skills highly recommended, but written instructions are also provided.
Overall she rates this as best for one with an Experienced Lace skill Llvel. It includes a few unusual stitch constructions but visual aids are included, both photos and video links.
The original piece that Jennifer knit took her 630 yards of Malabrigo Rio --- a pure merino superwash with 210 yards/ 100g.
Now Jennifer knit hers in the colorway called Azules and we went ahead and brought that colorway in sto offer for kits.
I have to say though that the yarn we have here doesn't not look the same as in the photos of Jennifer's finished piece -- that is either the fault of the photos or the fact that the yarn is handpainted and each bag tends to look rather different.
Regardless, Azules is lovely blend of puple, blue and teal. We took a photo of the skeins we have in stock and posted it as the second photo on this page.
We brought in a second colorway simply because to my eye it looks close to the colorway I see in the photos. I love the look of a grey with subtle colors shining through.
So you have an option. This one is Plomo, a tonal blending of charcoal with gentle shades of lavender and plum.
Again, our skeins can be seen in the third photo on this page.
Each kit will include three skeins in the colorway of your choice, 210 yards x 3 = 630 yards.
If you feel you would like an extra skein as insurance, contact me. If we have stock, I will be glad to set you up with it. Bear in mind that the cowl can also be made a bit smaller using this same pattern,
