Our latest addition to our Birthstone Bracelet series.
The birthstone for June is Pearl. Pearls are associated with purity, fidelity and integrity and are often worn by brides on their wedding day. Indeed, the word "pearl" comes from the Latin word “pirum” which means “pear” reflecting the pear shape of pearls.
What we have for this bracelet is a beautiful collection of pearl-like beads and crystals combined in a wondrous manner.
We mixed both 6/0s and 8/0s from Miyuki in white, crystal, ceylon (that's bead-speak for a pearl-like finish) and golds, both gold lined and gold colored.
To these we added some gorgeous Swarovski Crystal Pearls, all cream color, in three sizes: 4mm, 6mm, and 8mm. And a handful of "real" pearls in the same color tone -- the only real way you can tell these apart is that they are not as uniformly round as the crystal pearls.
These were threaded randomly onto a gold thread and knit using the same design as one of our Bead Stew Bracelets.
And finished with a gold tone toggle clasp that mirrors the circular theme.
We are truly delighted. The whole is a wonderful bubbling of pearls that (in my oh-so-humble opinion) looks great.
A Note: The beads and pearls in this kit look great with gold, hence the gold thread and gold clasp. This is how the kit will come to you.
However, just because I know some of your much prefer silver we want to offer one alternative. So if you would like a kit that tends more towards silver, just let me know -- you can send me an email with your order. What we can do is (a) add a few glass pearls that are white (instead of cream), (b) add a few 6/0s and 8/0s in silver as well as the other colors, (c) include a spool of silver thread instead of gold, and (d) give you a silver tone clasp.
Note also that the kit will not automatically include the pattern.
We offer three options.
I know some of you have already have made other bracelets from us that are made along the same lines, the only real changes being the beads and the colors. If you feel you do not need another pattern, simply choose "No Pattern Needed" using the drop-down menu under the top photo on this page.
If you would like a printed copy of the pattern, please make sure the "Pattern" drop-down menu is set to that.
We also can email the pattern to you, though I have to do it manually and usually send it right before I mail the kit (please be patient). Again, just make sure that drop-down menu is set as you would like before you check out.
