A new design from Sivia Harding ! Bright Sunny Day began as a Mystery KAL. Well, the mystery is over and here we have put together some lovely kits for this beautiful (and beaded) piece.
Sivia calls this "...a light, summery accessory with a fascinating twist!"
All that is needed is two yarns with a good amount of contrast. She used a variegated and a tonal almost-solid for her original piece -- fingering weight with at least 400 yards per skein.
We do not offer the same yarn nor the same colors that Sivia used in her original piece. You can see the yarns in our kits by looking at the inset photos in the upper righthand corner of the top picture and again below that.
You will get one skein each as described here for the kit of your choice plus the beads (also described below).
Both of these yarns are Mechita from Malabrigo, 100% superwash merino with 420 yards/ 200g.
1. Aniversario is a variegated beauty with rich hues including purple and magenta, cobalt and jade, goldenrod and rose, lilac and lime, teal and orange -- and maybe a few I missed too.
2. Watergreen is an almost-solid tonal blend made up of subtle shades of sea foam.
This is a fiery blend of colors, very Autumnal.
1. Mechita again, this time in a dramatic colorway called Gothic. A speckled variegated melody of colors tha tincludes black and orange, gold and red, deep cobalt and some peeks of cream.
2. This one is Sock also from Malabrigo, same fiber content but with a yardage of 440 yards/ 100g and a plied yarn. The colorway is Cote D'Azure, a very dark deep navy.
The design calls for 108 size 6/0 beads. We will give you more than that. If you have a preference on what color bead you want, tell me. Otherwise I will choose for you.
The kit will not automatically include the pattern and the cost of the pattern hasn't been figured into the price.
I know some knitters prefer to get it directly as a PDF file of the pattern from Sivia via her Ravelry web page. In that case, set the Pattern drop-down menu to "No Pattern Needed."
Alternatively, if you would like a printed copy, please make sure the drop-down menu is set to that.
We also can email the pattern to you via email (just be aware that it is not automatic; I have to manually send it to you and generally do that right before shipping your kit.
