I have been on a hat kick recently and this one just really caught my eye.
There was no help for it: I simply had to bring in the exact yarns that Kelly Forster used to make her original.
And so here it is: a kit with the same yarn and the same colorways from Malabrigo to make this beauty.
Make sure to get your pattern directly from the designer's Ravelry page here. What we offer here is the yarn with which to knit it.
Here is what Kelly writes:
"In order for the light to shine so brightly, the darkness must be present.” -Francis Bacon
Knit in the round, from brim-to-crown, this simple cap pairs light with dark for dramatic effect.
The Yarn and Colorways
The yarn is Malabrigo's Arroyo, sport weight 100% superwash merino wool, with 335 yards (305m) per 100g.
The bright color is called Sunset and is a brilliant almost-solid goldenrod.
The dark color is Vaa and is a strikingly rich melding of deep greens and blues.
One skein of each makes up your kit.
