Ah.

This was fun!

Here I put together a bracelet playing with gold and silver 8/0 beads plus an array of lovely pewter charms.

Quite charming indeed! (Pun intended) :-)

Knit on a spool of metallic polyester thread from Kreinik in a mix of gold and silver tones, the beads are pre-threaded on in a particular order along with a mix of at least 7 charms. The design is worked in such a way that the charms are suspended on little loops formed of gold beads in a sea of silver beads.

The result is really lovely, if I do say so myself.

As both gold and silver is part of the thread and again of the beads, we are offering a choice of gold or silver for the toggle clasp -- which is quite striking in and of itself. The ring of the toggle would be either Antique Gold or Antique Silver, 1 1/4" (about 33mm) in diameter. So the clasp itself becomes an integral part of the bracelet.

The kit will include the spool of thread described here, about 20 grams of 8/0 beads in Silver Lined Crystal and about 7 grams of Silver Lined Gold AB. And assorted charms.

The bracelet shown here used 7 charms.

Your kit will include at least that many though they might be a different assortment than you see in this original one.  We currently have charms of a dragonfly, a butterfly, a dragon, a feather, an oak leaf, a sun, a maple leaf, and a small fern leaf.  Your kit might have all of these or possibly some others that will go together nicely.

For the clasp: You can get a large toggle clasp as shown in these pictures in either gold tone or silver tone or get a "regular sized" toggle clasp again in either silver or gold tone. If you have a preference, tell me.  Otherwise I will choose for you.

A note about size: Without the clasp the bracelet as it is here (with 7 charms) comes to about 6 1/2" in length; the clasp adds at least an inch (bear in mind that knitted thread is just a bit stretchy and so you want to start with it a bit tight). Nine charms should give you close to another 2" --- however, if you need a longer bracelet, contact me for more charms -- you'll have enough of the beads and thread.

Note that the kit will not automatically include the pattern. We offer three options. I know some knitters feel comfortable creating their own design with the beads. This is somewhat different from all of our other bracelet designs, but if you feel you do not need another pattern, simply choose "No Pattern Needed."

If you would like a printed copy, please make sure the "Pattern" drop-down menu is set to that.

We also can email the pattern to you via email, though I have to do it manually and usually send it right before I mail the kit (please be patient). Just make sure that drop-down menu is set as you would like before you check out.

I really love how this all came together. It has a lovely feel on the wrist --- a marvelously quick project to make with lovely results.

P.S. If you should prefer a smaller clasp, just let me know -- I would be happy to substitute for you.
