Lana Grossa's Cool Wool Hand Dyed yarn is quite intriguing.  Made up of 100% merino extrafine, each 100g skein gives 350 yards which makes for a wonderful sport weight yarn.  (The suggested gauge is of 24 sts = 4" on size #5 US).  

This particular colorway is called Goa.  It has long stretches of gray interspered with variegated stretches of speckled cream with dashes of green, peach, gold, and fuchsia. 

I laid it out and measured it in the skein -- the variegated yarn measures to 13" as does the solid gray.  Which makes these wonderful for the new "purposeful pooling" designs that have been released recently.
