The second in our Seasons Series of bracelets, Crystal Icicles is to Winter as Autumn's Glory is to Autumn.
Playing with the delicate crystalline structure of ice, Crystal Icicles is a special song to this coldest of seasons, where color must be searched for in the prisms created by the sun on the ice.
The bracelet starts with silver thread and plays with subtle variations. There are different leaves included -- you might find some 12x7mm in Crystal AB, some smaller 6x11mm in Crystal AB and/or a smallest 5x11mm in silver. and three daggers. It has a mix of daggers as well--3x10mm, perhaps in Crystal AB or Silver and some larger sized of 5x16mm Crystal AB. And a mix 8/0 beads: most likely Crystal AB, Silver Lined Crystal and S/L Crystal AB.
So all of these have very subtle differences in color and the differences in sizes add quite a bit of dimension to the whole.
All are pre-strung onto the thread in the same order as we prescribed for the Autumn's Glory so that they hang randomly in a splendid symphony of crystal, silver, and rainbow highlights.
The finished bracelet has a silver tone toggle clasp. The one in your kit might be the same as the one shown here or it might be a different one. It will work beautifully with the rest of the bracelet.
And as the pièce de résistance there is a real Alder cone, silver plated, of approximately 8x12mm, added as a special highlight.
I am very pleased with this.
Note that the kit will not automatically include the pattern. We offer three options. The way this is put together is virtually the same as what I wrote in the pattern for Autumn's Glory Bracelet and if you have that and feel comfortable transposing a bit, choose "No Pattern Needed."
Alternatively, if you would like a printed copy, please make sure the "Pattern" drop-down menu is set to that.
We also can email the pattern to you via email, though I have to do it manually and usually send it right before I mail the kit (please be patient). Just make sure that the drop-down menu is set as you would like before you check out.
The whole is lovely; simple and elegant.
