This is one of those amazing designs that can be knit in any weight of yarn and to any size you so desire.
Please be sure to get your copy of the pattern from the designer on her Ravelry page here.
What we have for this kit is some lovely yarns -- indeed I am hesitant to really call this a kit as it is simply the yarn that we will be sending you. But the two colorways of Paradigm (described below) each work so very nicely with this pattern, that I just wanted to mention them together. Of course you could get the yarn and knit something else. :-)
Here is what Ilona Dmitrieva says about her Dancing of the Autumn Leaves:
This is a triangular lace shawl knitted from the top down.
This pattern is perfect if you’re just starting to knit, or are looking for an easy project.
Ilona rates this design as for a beginner or intermediate level knitter.
Yarn and Colorways
Best of all, the size is adjustable. She recommends it being knit in lace weight or fingering weight yarns.
Each of our kits will include one cake of Trendsetter Yarns' Paradigm, each having 660 yards/ 150g and made up of 95% merino/ 5% polyester metal (that's the subtle silver threads).
Mind you, Ilona's original shawl used 766 yards (700m). The size is quite adjustable, dependent not only on the yarn but on needle size and gauge as well.
We offer you a choice between two colorways.
Coffe Latte gradually changes from a cream into deeper and deeper browns to end up with a dark chocolate.
Autumn Leaves starts at a rosy redwood and changes bit by bit into a lovely olive.
