This shawl is a light weight beauty, ethereal and floating.

Daybreak is the fourth and final pattern in the Light Cycle Collection, based around the changing cycle of light over a 24 hour cycle, and designed with gradient yarns in mind.

All four designs have an optional plain section, and two main parts which play with the concept of light as both a particle and a wave.

Daybreak has a highly adaptable format, allowing both the mesh and the edging sections to be extended to any size, or until you run out of yarn.

What is especially marvelous about Nim's designs is that she allows you, the knitter, quite a bit of input on how to create your piece. What she gives you is the outline; you color it in, so to speak. As one example of this, in this pattern you have the option of an variable sized stockinette or garter section to begin -- whatever appeals.

This design also allows for optional beading.
