This is an interesting piece by Sivia Harding, a necklace called Deco.
The best way to get this pattern is via Sivia's Ravelry page. This puts a copy in your Ravelry library and ensures you get any updates right away.
Here is what Sivia writes about it:
Deco is a beautiful knitted necklace in two lengths that features cascades of beads in a deliciously sensuous (and easy to knit) design.
Beads are strung onto the yarn before casting on, and short rows are used for shaping. Most of the piece is constructed in garter stitch, which removes the need for concealing any wraps in the short rows.
This design is part of a series meant to instruct the knitter on the joys of combining more than one kind of bead for interesting and beautiful effects.
The Yarn and Beads
Sivia suggests about 20 to 30 yards of fingering weight yarn plus about 255 size 8/0 triangles and 18 of the long (4x7mm) long magatamas.
Our offerings are not the same as what Sivia used for her original pieces, shown here with her permission (the top photo is of her, © Leila Wice). Ours can be seen as the small insets in the lower righthand corner of that top picture and again below that. The other photos of Sivia's original necklaces are there so you can see the design.
What we have put together here are sets combining Unicorn Tails from Madeline Tosh (A skeinette of Tosh Merino Light with 52 yards (47m) of 100% superwash merino), triangles from Toho or Miyuki (about 10 grams or roughly 400) and 18 magatamas from Miyuki.
And! Each kit will include a toggle clasp to work with the colors of your kit (for example, Kit B will have a gold tone clasp while Kit C's clasp will be silver in color).
Kit A: Unicorn Tail in Cathedral (a variegated beauty with many tonalities of violet, purple, and brown) + triangles in Higher-Metallic Grape + 4x7mm magatams in Fuchsia Lined Smoky Amethyst AB.
Kit B: Unicorn Tail in Firewood (variegated browns and rusts with gold) + triangles in Silver Lined Dark Amber + magatamas in Dark Topaz Rainbow Gold Luster.
Kit C: Unicorn Tail in Torchere (an almost-solid tonal blend of varying roses and reds) + triangles in Silver Lined Crystal + long magatamas in Silver Lined Crystal. (This one was put together with Valentine's Day in mind.)
The cost of the pattern has not been added to the kit. This webpage gives you yarn plus beads.
It is best to get the pattern as we mentioned above via Sivia's Ravelry page here.
