A lovely summer-y wrap by Sivia Harding!
The Design
Here is what Sivia writes about her Drawing Board Shawl:
This shawl is a summery, lighthearted assymmetrical sweep that includes sections of slipped stitches, color stripes, soothing garter stitch, and a bit of lace.
Choose your own adventure as you migrate through this piece…you can change up the order of the stitch patterns in any way you like!
Optional beaded picot bind off requires 51 size 6 beads.
Yarn and Colorways
We do not offer the same yarn or colors that Sivia used for her original. You can see our kits in the inset photo on the upper righthand corner of the top picture and again below that.
Our kits consist of one skein each of:
1. Huasco Sock Kettle Dyes: 75% superwash merino, 25% recycled nylon yarn, hand painted by Peruvian artisans, with 439 yards (401m) per 100g skein.
This is offered in the colorway called Sapphire. This is a tonal blend of varying blues, combined to create a strikingly rich colorway.
2. Madrona from MiKoo, 30% baby alpaca + 30% merino + 20% bamboo viscose + 20% nylon, with 402 yards (366m) per 100g ball.
The coloway is called Powder Snow and is a solid colorway, looking exactly as it sounds.
Beads
Beads are optional, but will definitely be included in each kit. Sivia recommends 51 size 6/0 beads -- we will include more.
If you have a preference for bead color, tell me. Otherwise I will choose for you.
The Pattern
Please note that the pattern is not automatically included in this particular Kit.
You might like to purchase it directly from Sivia’s Ravelry Store which will place the pattern in your Ravelry Library.
If you would rather have a printed copy, please make sure the "Pattern" drop-down menu is set to that and we'll get that to you in your kit.
We also provide the pattern as a PDF if you choose that option. (Note again, the pattern will not be saved in your Ravelry library but we'll make it available via earthfaire.com if you choose this option.)
