This beauty is Nim Teasdale's East of the Sun, West of the Moon.

Here is how she describes the design:

Triangle shawl with a little cabled spine and an adaptable lace section that can be used as an all over pattern, a nape detail, an edging, or as bands throughout the body of these shawl. Any size, and drop in and out of lace after any repeat. Simple and flexible is the plan here.

This is one of the Fairy Tales series, the role of hero. To me, a hero isn’t necessarily brave, powerful, handsome, of any of the other typical qualities. They simply do what must be done. So this shawl will be named East of the Sun, West of the Moon after the brave heroine of that captivating story, who did what must be done.

A brave hero must have a true heart, a straight strong spine, and a spirit bright as diamond, so these are the pattern elements included in this shawl. ;D

Sizing is adaptable to any yardage of fingering to DK weight yarn.

Pictured shawl used 380m (410y) Madelinetosh Merino Light, on 4mm (US size 6) and 4.5mm (size 7) needles, and measures approx. 140 x 65 cm after blocking.

All that is needed is this yarn set and about 80 beads to suit the yarn you choose.

For fingering weight, figure on size 6/0 beads; for lace weight the smaller 8/0s are lovely.  If you plan to use DK weight, the 6/0s might work though they will be a bit tighter; for slightly larger beads you might consider the 5/0 trianges, the 4mm or 4x7mm megatatamas, the 4x4 cubes, or the 5/0 rounds.
