This beauty started out as a MKAL, though the mystery has now been solved and the final shawl revealed.
By Lily Go, this is Enchanted Rose.
Enchanted Rose is an asymmetric crescent shaped shawl worked from the bottom up. The pattern is worked on the both the wrong and right sides.
The Yarn and Colorway
We do not offer the same yarn as what Lily used. You can see what we have in the inset photo on the top picture and again below that. The other photos show her original shawl.
Lily used a gradient yarn for her beautiful piece and we went with a Gradiance set from The Unqiue Sheep (TUS).
The yarn is Sol or Luna: These are Earth Faire exclusives. Fiber-wise the yarn is 75% superwash Merino, 20% nylon, 5% Stellina. The merino is springy and delicious, the nylon adds strength. Stellina is a non-metal fiber. They have either a silver-toned fiber (in Luna) or a goldtone version (in Sol).
Each Gradiance set is composed of 4 small skeins, each 25 grams and about 109 yards so your total will be roughly 436 yards of fingering weight yarn. This is enough for the smallest size of Lily's Enchanted Rose.
We brought in two colorways for you to choose from:
Winter Dusk is dyed in Luna (with the silver threads) and is a gental toanl set ranging from lighter to darker periwinkle.
Painting the Roses is dyed in Sol (with its golden threads), again a tonal blend from a rosy pink into deeper and deeper rose.
Either will look awesome.
The beads are optional and my thought is that perhaps with the silver and gold threads it might be "gilding the lily" to some degree. However, all that is needed is 250 size 6/0 beads for this smaller size and so we will be including that in each kit.
If you would like to add beads to your shawl, Lily includes instructions on where to place the beads
If you have a preference on bead color, tell me. Otherwise I will choose for you.
Pattern includes charts and written directions.
We strongly advise getting the pattern directly from Lily on her Ravelry page. This will save it in your Rav library and ensure you get any updates as they are released. If you decide on this, set the drop-down menu labeled "Pattern" to "No Pattern Needed."
If you really would prefer a printed pattern, that is also an option. Or we can directly email it to you. Just make sure to set the drop-down menu as you prefer.
