I am really delighted to offer another colorway for this lovely  Mindy Ross design.

This new design is perfect for a Gradiance set from The Unique Sheep (TUS)!  In fact, one of her original pieces used one and looks awesome.

This kit offers another colorway, very different, and I love how it comes together.

Here is how Mindy describes Eternal Optimist

What’s in a recipe?

When fingers itch to create, it’s so delightful to have a myriad of ways to scratch that itch. Whether it’s playing with ingredients to make the most decadent dessert or planting seeds for germination. And in this case? A combination of both, delicious yarns with a splash of beads, placed with loving care. You’ll ooh & ahh as your fabric recipe comes to life.
This long and narrow ‘thingie’ will delight bakers, gardeners, and fabric connoisseurs alike. Get your gardening gloves on, your favorite mixing bowl out, and begin a magical journey with your thoughts and creativity. Your needles will delight you.
Your colorways and crystals will excite you, as your journey brings you to the most enchanting fabric results.

~Enjoy YOUR Journey~

Another desirable ‘thingie’ created for the energetic beginner/intermediate knitter, who loves to challenge their expertise.

And a bit of added data:

VERY POINTY needles tips are STRONGLY suggested. This ‘thingie’ starts with “seed pods” (dangles) and continues to flourish into details of delightful growth. Interesting stitches along with optional beading, never boring and always anticipating the next bevy of stitch design.

The Yarn and Colorway

These kits are dyed in a brand new yarn from The Unique Sheep called Kiri.   The yarn is a blend of 80% superwash merino/ 20% silk, with each full set divided into 6 skeinettes, each 144 yards/ 1.3 oz, so that you will have roughly 864 yards.

We've increased the yardage slightly as the original kit had just enough -- and we know how nerve-wracking that can be.

This is not the same yarn nor colorway that Mindy used in her original.   You see our kits in the inset photo on the top picture and agian right below it.

The colorway is Mardi Gras, a delightful colorway, ranging from a happy Marigold into Apricot into Rose into Magenta into Purple into Blue. It hits all the notes of a glorious fiesta!

The Beads

Your kit will include a bit more than the 750 size 6/0 beads needed (well, the beads are optional, so "needed" is a relative term).

There are quite a few bead colors that looks very fine indeed with this yarn.  I love how there are so very many that will look awesome -- or perhaps you would like a mix of colors?  We offer that option in a drop-down menu under the top photo.

If you don't have a preference, let me choose for you.

BTW, Mindy mentions that 5/0 triangles also look very fine so that is another option if you let me select them.

The Pattern

First of all, we just wanted to mention that the pattern is written out only, no charts.

I know some knitters prefer to get the pattern directly from Mindy via her Ravelry web page. This will give you a copy in your Ravelry library. In this case, set the drop-down menu above to "No Pattern Needed." This will also ensure that you receive any updates automatically.

If you would prefer a printed copy or a PDF via email, please select that option via the "Pattern" drop-down menu. The PDF file will be emailed right before your kit is shipped. The
