I have been bothering Sivia about these for months now -- Can I have them now? Can I have them now? She has been a very patient mother to my impatient little child and finally finally finally they are ready to leave the nest and fly! (not to mix metaphors or anything)

Presenting Fiddlehead Socks, a most lovely beaded sock design.

Now Fiddlehead ferns are one of the first plants of spring -- lovely and a welcome sight indeed to winter-weary eyes. Sivia writes:

"Fiddlehead ferns are the harbingers of spring, with their tender spiraling shoots that are fun to watch as they unfurl. The beaded center of the front lace pattern reminds me of the tiny buds that emerge everywhere in the springtime, and the top is the feathered glory of the ferns in their bloom of full growth. Socks are beaded throughout using the crochet hook add-as-you-go method."

These are gorgeous.

What is needed is fingering weight sock yarn, about 400 yards. You will also need between 202 and 222 size 8/0 seed beads, depending on the size sock.

As our special to you, anyone purchasing the yarn to make these from us at the same time as the pattern will get the beads included as our gift to you.

Wonderful!
