Designed by Dorothy Siemens of Fiddlesticks Knitting:

These fun-to-knit scarves with fluffy loop stitch come as a package—two patterns in one!

The rectangular scarf is worked by casting on at one end, then knitting to the other end using loop, drop and garter stitch.

The triangular scarf is worked by casting on two stitches at the middle top, then increasing to create a triangle shape. It is created with longer sides so that it wraps comfortably around the neck.

Both are garter stitch scarves, knit on 3.5 mm (US 4) needles (or size needed to obtain gauge). The pattern includes photographic instructions on how to knit loop stitch.

Recommended for Advanced Beginners.

We currently are carrying the Country Silk Yarn in our fingering weight yarn section. These scarves only need a half skein of the Country Silk Yarn to make. Though a full skein will make two, of course. If you would like to arrange for one of these "Demi" skeins, please email me and we will see if we can work it out.
