A most lovely scarf design, by Susan Pandorf of Sunflower Designs.
She writes, " Flowers is a lovely rosy haze of a scarf -- a labor of love"
The basic gauge is 6 stitches = 1 inch (reverse stockinette).
Charted design; intermediate level
Flowers is a lovely hazy confection to wind round your neck with love.
The original yarn used was Silk Rhapsody, a silk and mohair DK weight from Art Yarns. It took about 400 yards total to make, using size 5 needles.
While the Silk Rhapsody is a worsted weight yarn, it was knit it at a tighter gauge to achieve higher stitch definition. If you are going to use a different yarn, use a DK weight, rather than a worsted.
This has just enough pattern to keep things interesting, but not so much you get lost.
