A wonderful wrap, perfect for "social" knitting, that we have kitted in what (in my oh-so-humble opinion) are absolutely gorgeous yarns!

Get your pattern directly from the designer, either via her Ravelry page or via her website here.

We have put together yarn for this kit, not the same as what she originally used, but lovely indeed. You can see our yarns in the inset photo on the top picture on this page and again below it.

The Design

Forest Pathways by Ilga Leja was originally a Mystery KnitAlong.  Here is what Ilga writes:

There are many pathways through the forest, each with its own secrets and delights.

Using a handpainted or self-striping yarn, you can unlock some of your own delights as you work this meandering shawl with its branching trails.

Worked on the bias with a few simple lace stitch patterns, it creates a series of sections reflecting woodland glade and clearing.

Yarn and Colorways

The design asks for fingering or sport weight yarn in the following amounts:
Colour A: 500 m./ 546 yds.; Colour B: 325 m./355 yds.

We chose Alma from Manos Del Uruguay, a light fingering weight yarn of 100% merino superwash and with 545 yards (500m) per 110g skein.

Your kit will include one skein each of:

1. Honesty, a gorgeous variegated colorway, mostly a sea green with slight variations of tone and splashes of red, dark green, and gold.

2. Optimism, an almost-solid of a deep not-quite-evergreen green.
